Some Medical Hyperhidrosis Treatment

Hyperhidrosis is a condition that is described as the generation of excessive sweat that alters the body odor strongly even when deodorants and perfumes are used so that the immediate surrounding of the person suffering from this problem smells bad. This is just a generalization. While the condition can be triggered by a number of reasons, the exact physiology of the situation is now known to medical science and therefore the treatment is easily available.
There are basically two types of hyperhidrosis treatment that are used by doctors. The first one makes use of injections with botulinum toxin that is directly injected into the armpits so as to block the sweat glands from performing as they should while the later known as thoracic sympathectomy is an invasive procedure in which the nerve plexus responsible for triggering sweat glands is removed from the body under general anesthesia. The chances of a reoccurrence with the later is only 10% while the former, one will have to go in for continuous shots every few months.
